Day 1 Orvieto - Civita di Bagnoregio - Chianciano Terme
Pick up in Rome and departure for Civita di Bagnoregio, one of the world’s most unique and enchanting towns, where only 12 people live during the winter time.  After a stroll on the cobbled streets of Orvieto you will have a lunch in one of the most amazing places, an Etruscan wine cellar dating back to more than 2500 years ago. Your four night stay will begin with aperitifs and welcome dinner at the hotel in Chianciano Terme, one of the finest health resorts in Italy with its parks, numerous hotels and especially its therapeutic water

Day 2    Montalcino-Pienza-Montepulciano
Drive through the World Heritage Site Orcia Valley and stop in Montalcino, famous for its Brunello wine and explore the medieval town. Continue to Pienza and Montepulciano, two lovely little towns, where you will be tasting some wine at a renowned wine cellar, before returning to your hotel in Chianciano Terme

Day 3   Siena
Excursion to Siena, a medieval town famous for the “Palio” race, a frenzy horse race, which is held in the main square. Visit the spectacular Duomo and see the Campo Square in the old town. Return to Chianciano Terme and have some time on your own before dinner

Day 4   Cortona - Cooking class
Departure for a peaceful valley in Central Tuscany and have an interesting and funny cooking class at a local country farm in a spectacular setting. Learn to make Italian pasta and meat, try different ingredients and have lunch with wine at the country farm. In the afternoon stop in Cortona, a hilltop town, where the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun” has been filmed. Stroll on the cobbled streets of the old town, before going back to Chianciano Terme

Day 5   Trasimeno Lake - Assisi - Spoleto
Departure for Umbria region along the shore of the Trasimeno Lake. Stop at the tiny village of Passignano and continue to a local country farm, where you will taste typical Umbrian products and delicious wine. Visit Assisi, which is a World Heritage Site, before heading to Spoleto, where you will be staying for four nights

Day 6   Montefalco - Wine tasting
Visit Spoleto, famous for its summer music festival. See the Cathedral and walk on the Bridge of Towers for breath-taking views of the valley and gorge below. Have lunch and a wine tasting in Montefalco, a beautiful hill town renowned for its Sagrantino wine and its gorgeous hand-woven linens. Return to Spoleto in the afternoon

Day 7 Visso - Castelluccio - Norcia
Day at leisure for personal activities in Spoleto or additional sightseeing
Optional day trip:
Departure with private driver through a spectacular road to Visso, the gate of the Mount Sibillini National Park. Stop at the village of Castelluccio, known as the source of some of the world’s finest lentils, which you can buy from local farmers. Nature lovers come to Castelluccio to see some of Italy’s most dramatic, undiscovered natural beauty, the "Wildflowers bloom", which happens every year between the end of May and the beginning of July, when Europe’s single best wild flower display, carpets the six square miles of Castelluccio plain. Continue to Norcia, an old Roman town, which is the realm of the spicy sausage, truffles, and spelt (ancient species of wheat from the fifth millennium BC).

Day 8   Marmore Waterfall - Medieval villages in River Nera Valley
Full day dedicated to explore the marvelous river Nera valley, dotted with charming villages like Montefranco and Castel di Lago.
See "Marmore Falls", created by the ancient Romans. Its total height is 541 feet, making it one of the tallest in Italy and the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. Return to Spoleto in the afternoon

Day 9   Transfer to Rome
Morning transfer to Rome train station/airport/hotel

You can add extra nights in Rome before or after the tour
