Itinerary
Sintra is the Paradise of the Aristocracy in Portugal with its Palaces and Landscapes surrounded by an exuberant flora. For more than five centuries, the Portuguese royal family used its sumptuous mansions and luxury properties as summer homes to enjoy the clean air and refreshing microclimate of the mountain. Visit the opulent Sintra National Palace, which was a former home to royal families of Portugal.
Next, reach the westernmost extent of Europe, Cabo da Roca. Admire expansive Atlantic Ocean views alongside the lighthouse which sits upon a granite bluff of boulders.
Continue to the village of Cascais with its lovely harbor full of small fishing boats. Free time to enjoy this once small fisherman’s village with cobblestone sidewalks, local typical shops and eateries.
After this, head to Estoril, an exclusive resort, famous for its casino (largest gambling room in Europe) and the “nest” of spies during the 2nd world war, where Yan Fleming got his inspiration to write the first James Bond book, Casino Royale.
Finally, your driver will drive you back to your ship in Lisbon.
